Listening
to music is one of the most accessible and fun ways you can pass the time. It
can also be therapeutic, stress-relieving, and increase your productivity and
creativity. Nowadays, there are a lot of distractions that you may encounter
while studying most, especially when you are reviewing in an IELTS center. Even
though music can help us in many ways, its effectiveness depends on the genre
you listen to.
Here
are some kinds of music that can help you:
1.
Classical
Music
Various studies have
confirmed that listening to classical music helps improve sleeping pattern,
enhances the ability to relax, and lowers your stress level. Some of the famous
composers and artists that you may recognize are Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart,
Johann Sebastian Bach, and Ludwig van Beethoven. You can listen to Beethoven’s
“Fur Elise,” Pachelbel’s “Canon in D Major,” and Mozart’s “Serenade No. 13.”
2.
Instrumentals
Some people are not
interested in listening to music without lyrics. However, listening to
instrumentals can result in greater concentration on your review. Instrumentals
are a genre on its own. Many bands focus on playing without vocals. If that is
not your style, you can still listen to many modern songs that sound good
without lyrics.
3.
Jazz Music
One of the most
misunderstood music genres is Jazz. It is inaccurately known as just loud music
with musicians outperforming each other. In reality, it is smooth music that
focuses on improvisation that creates a sophisticated yet mellow track. It is
excellent for creating a playlist filled with funky beats, and some jazz music
has lower tempo music that soothes the ears. Some of the great artists who
popularized Jazz music are Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Bill Evans.
4.
Folk Music
The style of folk music
around the world is hugely diverse. Some may have exotic sounds and rhythms
that you have never heard before. Some plays with unusual instruments that made
specifically for that country. These unique tunes are excellent for studying
and can even stimulate creativity.
5.
Favorite
Music
Lastly, this is not a genre,
but listening to your favorite music can help you improve your productivity.
Whether be it love songs, country rock, or heavy metal, your favorite sounds
can energize you when feeling blue while studying. A few fun tunes will
definitely uplift your spirit and improve your mood.
Despite
all of the countless music made by great musicians, some people still like to
review in complete silence and peace. Everyone’s cup of tea in music differs,
so find the right music for you and study better while listening to
music.
