This reading
task requires test takers to match pieces of information or a set of statements
to a list of options. The options are a group of features from text and are
identified by letters. For example, examinees might encounter matching various
research findings to a list of researchers, or different characteristics to a
list of age groups. There are instances that some of the options will not be
used, and that other options may be used more than once.
Moreover, this
reading task evaluates the test taker’s ability to understand the relationships
and connections between facts in the text and also their ability to recognize
ideas and theories used in a statement.
