review tips

      ·         Unwind. It’ll enhance your mental awareness and enhance your cognitive function. Here are some things you can do to give your mind and body a well-deserved break.
o   meditate
o   take a long and relaxing bath
o   watch cute and funny videos
o   spend time with your pets
o   listen to soothing music
o   dance to your favorite tunes

       ·         Rest your hand. It may seem strange, but the state of your hands affects your test performance. Since the IELTS exam is not computerized, you’re going to do a lot of writing during the test. So, keep your body, especially your hands in top shape. Use a stress ball and do hand exercises that’ll allow your hands to loosen up from their pen-clutch position.

       ·         Avoid last-minute review. Diving into your review center for IELTS materials the night before the exam can do more harm than good to your test performance. It can interfere with your ability to recall information, jumble already established linguistic concepts in your mind, and impair your self-confidence.

       ·         Answer practice tests. As mentioned in the previous point, don’t review your lecture notes from the IELTS reviewcenter in Cebu. Answer mock exams instead. It’ll help you get used to the pressure of the exam and help you retain information better.

       ·         Practice your communication skills. Build up your confidence by conversing with a friend—preferably someone who won’t hesitate to point out your linguistic lapses and help you correct them. Catch up with your family and friends. Can’t find a conversation partner? Get in touch with your classmates at the IELTS review center in Cebu.

       ·         Set an alarm. Don’t want to waste all your review efforts by arriving at your test center late. Set an alarm. Give yourself adequate time to prepare (e.g., eat breakfast, take a bath, double-check that you have all the things you need for the test, etc.) before you leave home. Make sure your alarms are scheduled at a.m. and not p.m. Set alarms on various devices and external clocks for backup purposes.

       ·         Sleep well. Get at least six hours of sleep to keep your mind in top shape for the exam. It’ll sharpen your memory, enhance your cognitive faculties, and improve your mood.

What you do the day before your exam has a huge impact on your test performance. Make sure everything goes well for your test date by following these tips.
